End of an era - Grove Vale Ceramics closing 26/1 2025
After 5 wonderful years of running the gallery and working in the studio space behind, time has come to close down the space at the end of the month.
Moving on has been a very difficult decision, but sometimes in life when one door closes another one opens. Amanda-Sue Rope and I will be taking up residence in a great new studio space in Kennington, and we also hope to keep the gallery alive in some form in the future through pop-up events and other things.

Ruthin Craft Centre, The Centre for the Applied Arts, Park Road, Ruthin, Denbighshire LL15 1BB
“Natural (Re)Sources looks at the origin of the artist’s chosen materials. This doesn’t mean that the finished work looks as if it has just been collected from a forest floor, or dug from the ground without intervention, but rather that the material basis for the work is ‘of the earth’ in various forms” - Gregory Parsons, Curator
I’m delighted to have been invited to make a collection for this beautifully curated show at the esteemed Ruthin Craft Centre in Wales, and have taken inspiration from the colours of the surrounding Welsh landscape and my own natural origins in Norway.

The gallery displays will be changing frequently as new pieces fresh out of the kiln can go straight onto the gallery shelves.
Each maker has a very distinctive and strong style, creating interesting contrasts and juxtapositions within the displays. Although our focus and directions are very different, we are united by our love and commitment to design, craft, material and process.
